Coral XL: Built for Dakar, designed for you
The 2023 Dakar Rally was one for the books, with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team taking home the top two spots in the motorcycle category. This victory marks KTM's 19th win in the prestigious event and for the eleventh year in a row, Adria provided support vehicles to the team. Adria's world class motorhome, the Coral XL, played a crucial role in the team's success, providing a comfortable base of operations and a sanctuary from the harsh conditions of the rally.
Coral XL is a top-of-the-line motorhome. It features a spacious interior with sleeping quarters for the team, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a large living area. One of the key features is its off-road capabilities - it has a high ground clearance, which helps to avoid getting stuck in the sand dunes.
The 45th edition of the Dakar Rally was held in Saudi Arabia, where the dominant challenge was the sand dunes. The rally covered almost 5,000 km of punishing terrain in 14 stages, and it was a close race, with just 44 seconds separating the top two riders, KTM's Kevin Benavides and Toby Price.
The Coral XL provides the team with much needed rest and comfort during the grueling event. It serves as a place for the team to rest, eat, and plan their strategy for the next stage of the rally. The team's mechanics also use the motorhome as a workspace to perform any necessary repairs on the motorcycles.
KTM team boss Norbert Stadblauer commented at the finale ‘’It’s been an incredible Dakar, one of the toughest and closest ever. Toby and Kevin were only 12 seconds apart going into the final stage and thankfully both riders performances gave us the 1-2. Incredible. We would like to thank all our partners once again for supporting KTM at the Dakar. We’re already looking forward to the 2014 Dakar!’’
