Leap into the past // Adria caravans – Scandinavia / Kornati series
Developed in 1982 the Scandinavia / Kornati caravan series was an exemption from the 2nd generation caravans as it was developed in order to be sold in the demanding climate conditions in northern Europe, mainly in Sweden, Norway and later Germany, where it was presented under the name Kornati.
We mention this special series as it brought several functional design features to the demanding north European market. Featuring integrated housing for gas cylinders, refrigerator service door, space for installing a battery, improved thermal insulation, front doors with wooden frames that do not freeze in harsh winters, and modern interior equipment we can say that these caravans were designed to enhance the customer experience and improve the serviceability of the products, which represent guidelines, that remain actual in our product development strategy until today.
The 1982 Scandinavia series comprised of five models (350, 410, 460, 500 and 530) and was shown for the first time at the Jonkoping fair in Sweden where it received immediate positive feedback from dealers, journalists and customers.
